Tootsie, as she was lovingly known by all, was a native of Lexington, MS. She lived there all of her life, except for the last 12 years where she lived near family in Brandon, MS. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lexington. Tootsie was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother with a strong dedication to the Lord and to her family. She had a passion for sports, especially basketball and Ole Miss Athletics. Tootsie also loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Tootsie worked for Holmes County Hospital for 34 years as the manager of the dietary department. She was known there for her outgoing personality and her dedication to the hospital. She also served as Secretary of the Harland Creek Water association for many years. In addition, in 2010, when Tootsie was 87 she was certified as a Tree Farmer, carrying on the tradition of her mother. Tootsie's involvement in her community showed the love she had for her hometown.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life, her three grandchildren, Michael Brister of Chicago, IL; Matt Brister of Brandon, MS; Amanda Brooks (Caton) of Germantown, TN. She also leaves behind two great granddaughters who she loved dearly - Lilly and Harper Brooks of Germantown, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie A Baughn; mother, Lillie Maude Hearn; father, W.E. "Woody" Hearn; sister, Maxine Terry; daughter, Linda Brister and son-in-law, Walter M Brister, Jr.
