Mrs. Mazie Wardine Ables
Funeral services for Mrs. Mazie Wardine Ables, 80, of Hot Springs, Arkansas were held June 4 at 10 a.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Rev. Ellis Jones officiated with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. Ables, a native of Attala County, had been a member of Harland Creek Baptist Church in Holmes County prior to moving to Hot Springs 11 years ago from Lexington.
Survivors include her husband, William H. (Buster) Ables; four sons, Purvis Ables of Decatur, Leo Ables of Florence, Bobby Gene Ables of the Philipines and Victor Ables of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. Eulala Johnson of Kosciusko and Mrs. Christine Harthcock of Lexington; 25 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Harold Ables, Charles Ables, Victor Ables, Jr., Vincent Ables, Leo Ables and Sidney Ables.
