Mrs. Addie O. Howell
Funeral services for Mrs. Addie O. Lundy Howell, 95, were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 18 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. E.S. Farr officiating. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Southern Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Howell died Friday at her home on Old Bowling Green Road. A lifetime resident of Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Drew Lundy and Mary Pitchford, one of Holmes County's pioneer families. She was active for many years in the Methodist Church and in community affairs.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Goldie Rogers of Lexington; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Walter Howell of Tampa, Fla., and one grandchild, Mrs. Jerry Pilgrim of Clinton.
Pallbearers were Ben Rathell, Dutch Farmer, Jack Farmer, George Bailey, James Lundy and C.L. Lundy.
