Arthur Sharpe Townsend
Graveside services for Arthur Sharpe Townsend, 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada, were held Friday, August 4 in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Rev. Dale Van Ness officiated. Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Townsend died of heart failure Thursday, July 27 at his home in Las Vegas.
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he was a veteran of World War II, a casino employee, and a Lutheran by faith.
He is survived by a daughter, Anjanetta Angie Cooper of Little Rock, Arkansas and one grandchild.
