Susie Terry Bailey>
Mrs. Susie Terry Bailey, 97, a Greenville homemaker, died of heart failure Wednesday, August 24 at her home.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 27 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Greenville with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Bailey, a Lexington native, attended Draughon Business College and returned to Lexington where she worked at First National Bank before moving to Greenville in 1957 where she was a homemaker.
She was the widow of Claude Bailey, owner of Bailey Lumber Company in Lexington and Greenville.
She was a member of the Alice Bell Garden Club. She was also the oldest member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women and was formerly coordinator of the Wesleyan Service Guild.
Mrs. Bailey is survived by a number of nieces and nephews in Lexington and a sister-in-law.
