Beatrice Cardwell

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Beatrice Cardwell, 93, of Lexington were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Officiating minister was the Rev. Tom Hollowell. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mrs. Cardwell died Thursday, April 30 at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi in Lexington.

A native of Holmes County, she was Secretary for the State Highway Department, and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: two brothers, James A. Lundy of Vicksburg and Ben Clower Lundy of Greenville; two sisters, Kathleen Lundy of Lexington and Ruby A. Ranck of California: and three grandchildren.

Serving as active pallbearers were B. C. Lundy, Jr., Charles L. Lundy, James W. Lundy, Douglas Hester, Billy Rathell and Ben Rathell
