Military Notes: Joseph Berman served in the US Army in both World War I and World War II. In World War I he served as an infantry officer. He remained in the Army Reserve until 1941 when he volunteered for active service and was assigned to the Judge Advocates Generals department. In 1944 he requested overseas duty and served in Okinawa and Korea. He retired as a Lt. Col.
