Obituary
Billy T. Blackstock

Billy T. Blackstock, 65, of Lexington died Saturday, January 26, 2002 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Monday, January 28 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Officiating ministers were Rev. Joel Smith and Rev. Doug Lawson. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

A native of Holmes County, he was the son of the late James and Lavelle Simpson Blackstock.

He was with a Mobile Home Service with Blackstock Manufacture Homes. He was an Army veteran of World War II having served three years in Germany. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife, Bobbie Blackstock of Lexington; son, Barry Blackstock of Lexington; daughter, Anita Tate of Lexington; four brothers, James Blackstock of Durant, Roy Blackstock of Greenville, Jack Blackstock of Vicksburg, and Phil Blackstock of Kemper, Texas; two sisters, Ann Eldridge of Durant and Elaine Johnson of Lexington; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Blackstock, who passed away on August 28, 2001.

Serving as active pallbearers were: Trent Johnson, Greg Johnson, Jonathan Blackstock, Timothy Blackstock, Jeffery Blackstock, Rex Blackstock, Ricky Blackstock, and Kevin Blackstock.

Honorary pallbearers were Shane Eldridge, Chad Blackstock, Casey Blackstock, Steve Blackstock, and Richard McCrory.
