Mrs. Annie Ethel Booth, 98, of Lexington died of heart failure Monday, May 3 at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Officiating minister was Rev. Tom Hollowell, assisted by Rev. Andy Ray. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
A native of Holmes County, she was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington. She was the widow of John Russell Booth.
Survivors include: son, Harold Eugene Booth of Clarksdale; daughter, Susie Byrd Minyard of Lexington; half-brothers, W. J. Hammett, R. H. Hammett, both of Dallas, Texas and R. D .Hammett of Lexington; half-sisters, Leila Mae Hammett, Hilda Bernard, Hilda Ellege, all of Lexington; Earline Seymour of Fort George, Florida, Bess Allen, Mildred Witt and Maggie Martin, all of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Eugene Booth, Jr., Jeff Booth, John R. Booth, III, Bill Booth, Clarence Pierce, Mike Pierce, Trey Pierce, and Jay Tidwell.
Memorials may be made to the Acona Methodist Church.
