Obituary
Services For Joseph P. Branch Held Tuesday Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Prichard Branch were held Tuesday, April 27, at 10:00 a.m. from the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Reverend David Prat officiated the services, with burial following in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mr. Branch died at the Holmes County Community Hospital Sunday, April 25, after a brief stay. He was 63. A native of Bolivar County, he was the son of Joe Martin Branch and Minnie B. Clark Branch. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by two sons J.P. Branch Jr., of Swansbury, North Carolina; and Michael Branch, of Grenada; one daughter, Mrs. Neva Mae Mitchell of Memphis; four sisters, Mrs. Neva Burnett of Tchula, Mrs. Myrtle Lee of Clarksdale, Mrs. Vira Randall and Mrs. Willie Hemphill, both of Chula Vista, California. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Earl Tuberville, Leon Rogers, Jim Perry, Winzell Dickard, James Mabry, and H.C. Powell.
