Obituary Catherine

Ray Johnson

Catherine Ray Johnson, 75, Lexington homemaker, died of cancer Thursday, August 13 at District Two Hospital in Durant.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. James C. Carr officiating, assisted by the Rev. Joel Smith. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

A West native, she was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Survivors include: a son, Howard Brown of Lexington; two sisters, Imogene Hocutt of Gulfport and Margaret Pierce of Jackson; and two grandchildren.

Serving as active pallbearers were O’Briant, Billy Joe Gilmore, Doug Lawson, Mills Heard, Billy Johnson and Aubrey Johnson, Jr.
