Vivian Skinner Brown

Mrs. Vivian Skinner Brown, 74, of Hattiesburg died of pneumonia Wednesday, December 24 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Rev. David Skinner officiated. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

A native of Holmes County, she spent her childhood in Lexington where she attended the public schools in Lexington. She was a retired nurse and a Baptist.

Survivors include: sons, Jeff Brown of Ellisville and Paul Brown of Ocean Springs; brothers, Rev. David Skinner of Mount Olive and Hugh Skinner of Pickens; sisters, Elizabeth Stroud of Jackson and Marie Bean of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers were William Skinner, Barry Skinner, Mike Skinner, Steven Skinner, Ray Skinner, and Robert Skinner.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
