Obituary
Charles W. Rutledge
Charles William Rutledge, 51, died Sunday at the Veteran's Hospital in Jackson where he had been a patient for two months.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, from Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leon Ballard, assisted by the Rev. Donnie Witzell, officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mr. Rutledge was a native of Duck Hill and a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was a retired mortician and a disabled veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Loretta Rutledge; three daughters, Mrs. Lou Hathcock of Indianola, Mrs. Ann Witzell of Kansas City, Mo. and Miss Lynn Rutledge of Lexington; two sons, Bill Rutledge of Memphis and Lee Rutledge of Lexington; his mother, Mrs. Arvilla Rutledge of Lexington; one sister, Mrs. Henry Mullen of Lexington; one brother, Admois Rutledge of Lexington; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Johnnie Williams, Jr., Vernon Hathcock, Vernon Roe Hathcock, Charles Mullen, Randolph Mullen, Sonny Meek, Mike Lammons and Bill McLellan.
