Obituary
Charles Lee Truitt
Funeral services for Charles Lee Truitt, 82, of Lexington, Miss, were held Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Rev. Bobby Williamson and Rev. Glen Johnson officiated with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Visitation was held Wednesday, September 14.
Mr. Truitt died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Lexington Manor in Lexington. He was born October 21, 1928 to Rob Roy Truitt and Ida Mae Kyzer Truitt of Lexington.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and a former mortician at Southern Funeral Home for many years prior to being part owner and operator of Western Auto Store in Lexington. He also worked for Simpson, Stepp & Lott and Thurmonds, all in Lexington.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ivy Jean Farrish Truitt of Lexington; son, Charles Lee (Chuck) Jr. of Southaven; daughter, Lisa Truitt Kelly Bethany and husband, Mitch Bethany; brother, Wayne Truitt (Sonya) of Columbus; sister, Martha T. Bailey of Winona; grandsons - Christopher Truitt (Jennifer) and Clay Truitt; Justin Kelly (Christi) and Adam and Matthew Kelly; and one great granddaughter Christin Truitt.
He was preceded in death by a, sister, Faye Truitt Massey of Cruger.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Pleasant Ridge Church or Lexington Manor all in Lexington.
Mr Truitt was an acitve member and deacon at First Baptist Church in Lexington where he also served as a Sunday School teacher and member of a number of committees.
He is survived by his wife of [ ] years, Ivy Jean Farrish Truitt of Lexington; son, Charles L. (Chuck) Truitt, Jr. of Southaven daughter, Lisa Truitt Kelly of Bethany and husband Mitch of Bethany: brother Wayne Triutt [...].
