Obituary 

Claud Leake Jones, Jr.

Claud Leake Jones, Jr., 81, passed away on June 20, 2016, at St. Dominic Hospital. Mr. Jones is survived by son, Claud Leake Jones, III; daughter, Heather Fay Jones; brother; William Wallace Jones; and sister, Fay Jones Webb.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and mother of his children, Sandra Lopez Jones. Also, he was preceded by his wife, Mary Shaw Jones.

He was raised in Holmes County, MS, and graduated from Tchula High School. He received a BS degree from MS State College (now MS State University) in 1956. He went through the ROTC program and received a commission in the US Army. He was stationed at Ft. Bragg where he completed Ranger and Paratrooper programs. After the Army he lived in Honduras, Central America. He returned and worked for Staple Cotton and Monsanto Chemical Company.

At Mr. Jones' request, there will be no service held.
