Mike Cothran
Dies In Auto
Accident Feb.15

Michael T. Cothran, 22 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cothran of Lexington, was killed in an automobile accident Friday, February 15, near Gluckstadt, Miss.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 18 at 3:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church in Lexington with Rev. Gus Merritt officiating. He was assisted by Rev. David Pratt, Rev. Robert Perry and Rev. Cliff Perkins. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mike had served the First Baptist Church in Lexington and in Greenwood as Minister of Music and was presently serving at Hanging Moss Baptist Church in Jackson.

Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Annette Henley of Greenwood, and Mrs. Babbs Dickard of Lexington; two brothers, Air Force Captain Thomas A. Cothran, Jr., stationed in Torreon, Spain, and Brad Cothran of Lexington. Pallbearers were Thad Henley, Sam McClellan, Wayne Polk, Bubba Sterling, Fulton Young, Jr., Robert Autrey, Jr., Donald Autrey, and Andre Oozy.
