Obituary
Daniel Floyd Malone
Daniel Floyd Malone, 89, of Lexington, died March 21, 2005, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko.

Services were held Wednesday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Rev. Mike O'Brien and Rev. Blain McLain officiating. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Malone, a postal employee with the U.S. Postal Service, was born May 4, 1915, in Holmes County to Milton W. and Mable Malone. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington and a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.

Pallbearers were: Danny Ingold, Mac Phillips, Dorsey Cockrell, Phil Williamson, Richard Hammett, and Robert Hammett.

Honorary pallbearers were: Nathan Aldridge Sunday School Class, Reuben Netherland, Dr. John Downer, Mike Lammons, Woodson Earle, and Noel White Malone.

Donations may be made to The American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church in Lexington.
