Daniel Gilbert Pepper, Jr.

Daniel Gilbert Pepper, Jr. was born Feb. 13, 1920, eight miles south of Lexington, Miss., at Franklin, on the Gibson Plantation. Attended Arkansas State College, Jonesboro, Ark. Entered the U. S. Navy in 1940 for World War II and served as Chief Electricians Mate in the Sino-American Coop Organization in Chunking, China, until end of war. Dan engaged in the electrical contracting business in Lexington, Miss. He was an avid sportsman and hunter — and goes in for competition shooting of antique rifles. He was a Mississippi game and fish hunter safety instructor.

Dan was married to Nadine Essweir and they have three children: Arlene F. Pepper Easterling, Daniel Gilbert Pepper IV, and William Robert Pepper.
