Obituary

Heart Attack Fatal
to H. G. Diggs

Funeral services were held from the residence Tuesday afternoon, May 2 for Herman Diggs, 56, who died suddenly Monday morning of a heart attack. The Rev. C. T. Floyd officiated at the services. Interment was in the Lexington Cemetery.

Mr. Diggs had been employed by the Post Office Department for the past 26 years, and at the time of his death was Assistant Postmaster. He was a mason, a Shriner, a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Eastern Star, and a member of the Methodist Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Margaret Elizabeth, and his mother, Mrs. Minnie Streater Diggs.

Southern Undertaking Association was in charge of arrangements.
