Dorothy Lucille Davis
Bertha Dorothy Lucille Pahlen Davis of Lexington, 96, died on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Lexington Manor nursing home.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2006, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Lexington with Rev. John McKenzie officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Visitation will be at the church from 12 noon until the service.
Active pallbearers will be her grandsons and grandsons-in-law. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Davis was born on June 25, 1910 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of Charles C. Pahlen and Anna Jansen Pahlen. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Lexington where she served until her retirement as church secretary and organist. She was an honorary member of the Magnolia Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Davis in 1972, and a daughter, Lillian Lucille Guest, and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter, Ann Fant Davis of Lexington; a sister, Marie Flanagan, and husband Jack of Memphis; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
