Obituary
Dorothy Young Gelston Dorothy Young Gelston, 87, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at her residence.

Dorothy had been a member of First Baptist Church for 60 years. She served as church treasurer and also as church clerk for a combined total of 47 years.

Dorothy graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, MS then went to the University of Kentucky at Bowling Green, KY. After college, she returned to Lexington, MS where she was employed as a bookkeeper for the Lexington Coca-Cola Bottling Co. and the Yazoo Bottling Co. for a combined total of 47 years.

Funeral services will be today at 10 am from the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Internment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Roy, who passed away November 27, 2008.

Survivors include Dr. John Downer of Lexington, Dr. Don Downer of Starkville, and a number nieces, nephews, and cousins.
