Obituary

Captain E. J. Martin
Lexington, Miss., Feb. 26 - After a very painful illness of several weeks, Captain E. J. Martin, formerly of Columbus, Miss., but whose family has been residing here recently, died here last night of heart trouble. Captain Martin has been a familiar figure in railroad circles for many years, and at the time of his death, and for the last ten or twelve years was connected with the Southern Railroad Company as soliciting passenger and freight agent. He was married here about 20 years ago to Miss L. A. Walton, who, with his three children, survive him. He will be buried at the Odd Fellows' cemetery tomorrow.
