Elizabeth Mae Hennigan Monthie Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Mae Hennigan Monthie, 74, of Lexington, will be held from First Baptist Church in Lexington at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18 with the Rev. Mike O’Brien officiating. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

She died Tuesday morning, July 17 at Holmes County Hospital in Lexington.

Mrs. Monthie moved to Lexington ten years ago from Long Bar Harbor, Maryland. She was born in Canton, New York and was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington. She was also an active member of the LLL Club and the Senior Ladies’ Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, LeRoy Monthie of Lexington: one daughter, Mrs. C. W. (Loretta) Rutledge of Lexington; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Serving as active pallbearers were Ernest Lee Ingold, Doug Smith, Calvin Moore, Sidney Henley, Virgil King, Jr., Bill Warrington, Dutch Farmer and Ted Batson.
