Notes

Mrs. Elizabeth R. Sheppard Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Rhinehard Sheppard were held Sunday, September 12 from the Tchula Presbyterian Church. Rev. Mike Howell assisted by Rev. Howard Allen officiated. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sheppard, 76, was a native of Leflore County and a Tchula merchant. She was, also, a member of the Tchula Presbyterian Church. She died on September 10 at the Holmes County Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Survivors are a niece, Ann Jones Catron of Laurel; two nephews. Victor Jones and Newton Jones, both of Laurel: and a cousin, C. F. Hutchinson of Greenwood.

Pallbearers were Bob Thompson, Durwood Dunn, Billy Johnson, Ellis Harris, Jr., Bryan Jones, and Jim Lauderdale.

Honorary pallbearers were Gilliam Gwin, Bobo Foose, Ellis Harris, Gene Herrman, Lester Lyon, Ralph Tutterow, Dean Shuttleworth, Charlie Wade, Marvin Smith, Bernard Jones, Bubba Cunningham, Courtney Perry, and K.D. Parrish.
