Ethelyn M. Ellison
Funeral services for Mrs. Ethelyn M. Ellison of Lexington, 89, were held Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. from First United Methodist Church in Lexington. Rev. Tom Hollowell was the officiating minister with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. Ellison died Sunday, Nov. 15 at Lexington Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Ellison was a teacher at Funland Kindergarten in Lexington for twenty one years. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, a member of First United Methodist Church in Lexington, she was a former member of the Friendship Sunday School Class.
Survivors include two sons, E.W. Ellison, Jr., and Charles R. Ellison, both of Lexington; a daughter Rebecca Ellison, of Union City, Georgia; a sister, Mrs. Frank A. Godwin of Peach Tree City, Georgia; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kenneth L. Ellison, Charles R. Ellison, Jr., George Ellison, Jr., George Ellison, III. John Raiford Ellison, and Claude Legate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Lexington.
