Obituary

John F. Ellison
Funeral services for John F. Ellison, 60, of Lexington were held Sunday, August 7 at 4:00 p.m. at First United Methodist in Lexington.

Rev. Andy Ray officiated with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mr. Ellison died Saturday, August 6 at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi.

A native of Holmes County, he was an accountant, a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the United Methodist Church in Lexington.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ethelyn Ellison of Lexington: two brothers, Edwin Ellison Jr. and Charles Ellison, both of Lexington: sister, Rebecca Ellison of Atlanta, Georgia.

Pallbearers were Robert A. Legate, Claude Legate, George Ellison, Jr., Gillie McKibben, George Shute and Jimmy Eley.

Honorary pallbearers were Dick Temple, Woodson Earle, Bubba Humphrey, Homer Daniel, Fred Dunn, A. B. Holder, Louis King, Bud Hammett, Jack Yates, Matt Riley, Chris Riley and Dr. John G. Downer.
