Emily Elizabeth Drennan Malone Graveside services for Mrs. Emily Elizabeth Drennan Malone, 81, of Franklin were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Rev. Skipper Maxwell and Rev. Bill Barrett officiated.

Mrs. Malone, a native of Ebenezer, died March 18, 2004 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland following an extended illness.

She was employed by Flowers Department Store and while in Franklin she and her husband ran the local general store. She and her husband farmed for many years in the Franklin Community area. She was employed with the United States Bureau of the Census and retired in 1999 after 35 years of service.

She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Cain and Anne Hood of Ridgeland; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren including Howard Hood, Emily Elizabeth Hood, Austin and Abbey Hood all of Kosciusko.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Billy Malone.
