Erin Gwin Lail Erin Gwin Lail, 92, died on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 in Jackson, MS. Visitation was at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 30, 2008 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street in Jackson with funeral services at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Graveside services were at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington, MS.

Mrs. Lail, widow of Thomas A. Lail, was the youngest of six children, all deceased. Her parents were the late Mary T. and Walter Keirn Gwin of Lexington and Greenwood, MS. She was a realtor for twenty-five years in Jackson. She was also an active member of First Presbyterian Church for over forty years, teaching adult Bible classes and Women in the Church Circle Bible studies. Studying and teaching the Bible were the joy and strength of her life.

Attending Ole Miss in 1934 - 1935, she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She was a member and twice president of The Jackson Stitchery Guild, "Town Club," and Sherwood Forest Garden Club. Moving to The Orchard in Ridgeland in 2000, she enjoyed making new friends.

Mrs. Lail was preceded in death by her son, Thomas A. Lail, Jr., who died in 1990. She is survived by one son, David Townes Lail and wife Karen of Bigfork, MT; daughter-in-law, Gail M. Lail of Memphis, TN; one grandson, David Andrew Lail, wife Shelley, and three great-grandchildren, Hannah, Christian, and Jordan Lail of Alpharetta, GA.
