Community Is Shocked By Death Of Popular Youth Final rites for James Marion Eubanks, 16, were held last Thursday at Southern Funeral Chapel in Lexington. Burial followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Young Eubanks was stricken while practicing for football on the Lexington High School field Tuesday afternoon. He died in Holmes County Community Hospital early Wednesday afternoon.
A cerebral hemorrhage, not necessarily related to his football activities, was the cause of death, according to the attending physician.
He would have been a junior in LHS this year.
