Obituary
Welborn Eubanks
Funeral services for Welborn Eubanks, 71, of Lexington were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 23 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating ministers were Rev. Bill Garrison and Rev. Mike O’Brien. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mr. Eubanks died Saturday, February 21 of cardiac arrest at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi.

A native of Holmes County, he was a retired employee of the Lexington Fire Department, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Oregon Memorial Church.

A son, James Eubanks, preceded him in death in August, 1966.

Survivors include: wife, Mary Elizabeth Eubanks of Lexington: son, Walter Eubanks of Grayford, Texas; daughter, Beth Alford of Lexington; sisters, Verna Bailey of Lexington and Valle Bell Smith of Galveston, Texas; three grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Serving as pallbearers were Frankie McCain, Paul Weems, George Pilgrims, Phil Williamson, Hayes Grantham, and Harvey Hearn.
