Obituary
T. J. Evans
T. J. Evans, 70, of Lexington died Wednesday, June 14 at Holmes County Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Evans, a native of Webb, was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington. He was retired from the Sheriff’s Department.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 16 at 3 p.m. from the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Rev. Leon Ballard officiating. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Evans of Lexington; one son, Jerry Evans of Clinton; and one grandson, Trey Evans of Clinton.

Pallbearers were Dutch Farmer, Andrew Smith, Willie Martin McBride, Roger McBride, Lloyd McGraw, and W.H. Hart.
