Last rites for Will M. Evans, Holmes county citizen will be conducted Friday, January 25, at 10:00 a.m. in the Southern Funeral Home with the Rev. Vollie Scott officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Southern in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Evans died today (Thurs.) following a long illness in the home of his daughter. Mrs. J. C. Barrentine at Natchez.

He was born at Lexington November 5, 1881 and married the former Elba Barrontine on December 30, 1923. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church at Brozville.

Surviving are his wife, one son, Joseph C. Evans of Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. A. W. Ishman of Curwensville, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. J. C. Barrentine of Natchez. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs D. D. Irwin of Gulfport, Florida, and Myrtle Ward of Brownsville, Texas and two grandchildren.
