Hattie L. Farmer was born on October 31, 1918 to H.H. and Sadie Acy Lehman. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lexington since 1933. She was the retired Area III secretary of the Vocational Rehabilitation. Prior to joining the rehabilitation service, she worked as a secretary for Lexington Furniture Manufacturing and at WXTN Radio. From 1946-1963 she was a service representative for Southern Bell in Lexington. Mrs. Farmer was married to Leslie "Dutch" Farmer.
