Bobby F. Fisher, 73, of Greenwood died on Sunday May 4, 2008, at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson.

He was a graduate of Lexington High School and a 1956 graduate of the University of Mississippi. He played football as a left end under John Vaught, playing on his championship teams in the 1955 Sugar Bowl and 1956 Cotton Bowl. Mr. Fisher coached high school football at Liberty, MS, Drew, MS and in later years worked in the Greenwood School System in administration from 1970-1973. He was in real estate investments most of his life. He was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church. Mr. Fisher enjoyed teaching his grandchildren how to play sports and loved being at every event they participated in. He was preceded in death by his mother Jean Hale Fisher and first wife Kate Shipp Fisher.

Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

He is survived by wife Adelaide Riley Fisher of Greenwood, son, Bobby and wife Catherine Fisher Jr. of Greenwood, MS, daughter, Leigh and husband Lee Barnes of West Helena, AR. Three Step Sons, Mark Riley of Bell Buckle, TN, Chris and wife Lynn Riley of Oxford, MS., Matt and wife Katherine Riley of Lexington, MS. Two Sisters, Joan and husband Curtis Moore of Vaughn, MS and Jean and husband Glynn Robinson of West Point, MS. Seven Grandchild, Jason O'Bryant of Greenwood, MS., Martin Fisher of Greenwood, MS., William Fisher of Greenwood, MS., Matt Barnes of West Helena, AR., Lindy Kate Barnes of West Helena, AR., Olivia Barnes of West Helena, AR. Mary Fisher Barnes of West Helena, AR. Five Step Grandchildren, Thomas Riley of War Trace, TN., Morgan Riley of Oxford, MS., Brook Riley of Oxford, MS., John Christopher Riley of Lexington, MS., Kate Riley of Lexington, MS.

Pallbearers will be David Sayle, Marvin Sterling, Bob Ellison, Kenny Ellison, David Tannehill, James Allison, and Jerry Carver. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the 1950's Ole Miss M Club.
