Obituary
Bobby Lipsey Ford
Bobby Lipsey Ford of Vicksburg, 76, died Friday, February 20, 2004 at River Region Medical Center as a result of complications from a lengthy illness. Services were Monday, February 23, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Hawkins United Methodist Church. Rev. Tommy Miller officiated. Burial was at 3 p.m. in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mrs. Ford was the daughter of the late John Robert and Willie May Gibson Lipsey. She was born in D'lo and was a resident of Lexington for a number of years. She was a graduate of Mississippi State College for Women. Mrs. Ford was an employee of the Mississippi Welfare Department prior to teaching Social Studies at Hazlehurst High School, Warren Central High School and serving as librarian at Warren Junior High School. She was recognized as a Star Teacher and sponsored numerous clubs and student activities. After her retirement, Mrs. Ford was a tutor and was active in the Methodist Cursillo. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Carol Ford, 2 brothers, Lt. Col. Ed Lipsey and John Lipsey.

Survivors include: 4 sons, Dr. Bob Ford and Norman Ford, both of Vicksburg, Frank Ford of Hazlehurst, and Keith Ford of Allen, Texas; one brother, W. L. Lipsey of Nesbit; and 14 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were the grandsons.
