Earl Fowler Buried In Lexington

Funeral services for Earl H. Fowler, 78, of Jackson were conducted Friday from Wright and Ferguson Chapel there, With the Reverend Ira F. Metts of Goodman officiating. Final rites were conducted Friday at 4 p.m. from the graveside, Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mr. Fowler died late Wednesday night at a Jackson nursing home, following an illness of several years.

A retired Holmes County farmer, he was born in Lexington where he lived until 1951 when he moved to Jackson. He had served two terms as a member of the Board of Supervisors in Holmes County. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Mr. Fowler's wife, Mrs. Lucy Fincher Fowler, preceded him in death in 1960.

He leaves two sons, James E. Fowler and Scott H. Fowler, both of Jackson; a sister, Mrs. J. J. Mace of Phoenix, Arizona, and three granddaughters.

Pallbearers were Clower Johnson, P. H. Williams, Norman Weathersby, Bill McLellan, Irby Ellington and Howard Terry.
