Obituary
Frank Philip Davis, Sr.
Funeral services for Frank Phillip Davis, Sr. were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11 in Southern Funeral Home Chapel of Lexington. Officiating minister was Dr. Michael O'Brien. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mr. Davis died Tuesday, September 10 at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi in Lexington. He was 89.

A native of Holmes County, he was a retired police officer and farmer. He served with the Lexington Police Department for eight years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington, a member of the Lexington Masonic Lodge and a World War I Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Velma Ellis Davis of Lexington; a son, Frank Phillip Davis, Jr. of Manchester, Tennessee; one grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers were A.J. Davis, Raymond Davis, Billy Martin, Phil Davis, Bill Davis and Ervin McRae.
