Obituary
Franklin Rogers Jr.
Frank Rogers, 68, of Lexington, MS, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009 at St. Dominic Hospital after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Services were held on December 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Lexington.

Frank was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington for over 40 years where he served as a deacon, sang in the choir and served on numerous committees. He was a pillar of his church and community where he was always lending a helping hand.

Frank retired in 1988 after serving 24 years in the Mississippi National Guard. He was a faithful employee with Peaster Tractor/Mississippi Ag Company for 45 years, until his retirement in 2006. After his retirement, he delighted in spending time with his grandchildren who were the love of his life. Frank also enjoyed woodworking and gardening in his spare time.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Kate Rogers; his brothers, Layton and James Robert; and a sister, Johnnie Ruth.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patsy; son, Rodney Rogers of Madison, MS; daughter, Christy Pritchard (J.J.) of Kosciusko MS, his grandchildren, Ashton and Landon Rogers and Austin and Jordan Pritchard. He is also survived by a sister, Lura Sykes of Fulton, MS, and a brother, Paul Rogers of Vicksburg, MS.

Pallbearers were: Chris Rogers, Scott Rogers, Trent Rogers, Bill Garmon, Terry Wynne, David Wynne, Cham Blain, and Dan McQuirter.

Honorary pallbearers were: the Andrews Sunday School Class (former and current members), employees of MS AG (Peaster Tractor), and deacons of First Baptist Church.

A special thanks to Dr. Bobby Graham and his staff and the 5th Floor Nursing Staff at St. Dominic for their compassionate love and concern.
