Obituary
James Monroe Fryer

Funeral services for James Monroe Fryer, 80, of Lexington were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22 from Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington with Rev. Mike O’Brien officiating. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mr. Fryer, a retired rural mail carrier, died at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi in Lexington on Thursday, August 20. He was a member of Lexington First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Elyne Hanson Fryer of Lexington: one daughter, Barbara Richmond of Tampa, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Waldrup of Lexington and Mrs. Alice Hall of Zephyrhills, Florida; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Roy Gelston, E. L. Ingold, Floyd Malone, White Malone, Leo Alderman, and R.S. Richmond. Honorary pallbearers were the men of the Brotherhood Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church and Virgil King.
