Obituary
George Erbitt Rainey
Funeral services for George Erbitt O'Bryant Rainey, 85, were held Saturday, March 27 at 11 a.m. from the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Mike Steen officiated with interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mr. Rainey, a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I, died Wednesday, March 24 at the Veterans Medical Center in Jackson. He was a native of Holmes County and a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margie Baldridge Rainey of Rt. I. Lexington; and two sisters, Mrs. Lovie Rainey Hall of Hot Spñngs, Arkansas and Mrs. Bessie Rainey Owen of Memphis, Tennessee.
Pallbearers were Carl Daves, Elbert Gentry, William Owen, Jr., M.G. Stephenson, Larry Holder and Reuben Netherland.
