Obituary
Mrs. Grace Perkins
died in St. Louis last Saturday after an illness of only three days. Mrs. Perkins was the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs J. C. Pickens, and, by reason of her young age, had many years of life to hope for. In her illness she was comforted by the presence of her little son, James, and her sister, Miss Ruth. The best medical skill and science of surgery were secured in her behalf, but without avail; it had been otherwise decreed. Her remains were accompanied by a loving mother and sister and young son, to her parental home here, where on Monday morning, her many friends attended her funeral services, conducted by Rev. C. Z. Berryhill and then followed them to the Odd Fellows Cemetery where they were cosigned among these of her kindred. Flowers rare and beautiful, tributes of love and friendship, covered the mound under which is contained all that remains mortal of a devoted wife and mother, and an affectionate daughter and sister. To her sorrowing relatives we tender sincere sympathy.
