As advised by Martha Baldwin, granddaughter of Harry Maxwell Lowe, "my grandfather served in WWI in the Army with the 38th Division, 139th Field Artillery Headquarters Company. He was with the American Expeditionary Forces in France (1918-1919) and was honorably discharged from the service with the rank of Private.
