John Hearn, Jr.
John N. Hearn, Jr., 83, of Lexington died on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at his residence.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, September 15, 2008 at Harland Creek Baptist Church in Lexington with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington. Bro. Roger Richardson officiated. Southern Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Pallbearers were: Rich Hammett, Hal Hammett, John Flint, James "Jamie" Flint, Trey Johnson, and Will Boatner. Honorary pallbearers were: Donald Hearn, Robert Rogers, Richard Hammett, Nolen Flint, John Ashley, Jimmy Floyd Thomas, and Aubrey Johnson, Jr.
He served in the Air Force during WWII and was a member of Harland Creek Baptist Church.
He is preceeded in death by his first wife, Nancy Hearn, and a daughter, Johanna Johnson.
Survivors include: wife, Virginia Rogers Hearn of Lexington; sons, Donald Hearn of Bentonia, and Robert Rogers of Tchula; daughters, Christine Hammett of Lexington, Donna Flint of Lexington, and Patsy Thomas of Lexington; brother, Robert "Bob" Hearn of Memphis, TN; sister Ethel Gammill of Jackson; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Harland Creek Baptist Church, 7540 Ebenezer Coxburg Road, Lexington, MS 39095 or to the charity of your choice.
