Elma Heffner
Martha Elma Heffner, age 97, died peacefully at home on January 19, 2013. Elma was the daughter of Albert Sidney Heffner and Beulah McLellan Heffner, and she was born in the Bowling Green Community of Holmes County. Elma was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Beulah, and another sister, Moselle Heffner Marx Zimmer.
Elma's loves were her 66 years of working for the Hooker family, mainly Hooker Insurance Agency, her genealogical research for writing a book on her McLellan family, and the people and history of her beloved City of Lexington, MS.
Funeral services will be at Southern Funeral Home in Lexington on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows.
