Research Notes
The death date provided by his wife's obituary is 1957, but the tombstone seems to indicate 1967. Newspaper articles found in the Lexington Advertiser indicate Henry Johnson was alive in 1958 and beyond. Additionally, an article in the Holmes County Herald from July 5, 1962, indicates Henry H. Johnson’s retirement as Attorney for the Mayor and Board of Alderman. His draft card shows DOD as 4-21-1967, so the DOD year printed in his wife's obituary is most likely incorrect.
