Mary Lynn was made a cripple by experimental back surgery. She lived with her mother in Meridian after Johnny died.
The birds eye maple bed that now belongs to Peyton Watson was a gift to Paul Watson from Edith and Mary Lynn. The bed originally belonged to Julia Dyer Watson. Johnny was considered gifted in many ways and was a capable golfer.
