Obituary
Mrs. Velma Ruth Jenkins Herrin
Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Ruth Jenkins Herrin, 77, of Greenwood were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 29 from Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington with Rev. Andy Ray officiating. Interment followed In Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

Mrs. Herrin, a native of Attala County and a private nursing sitter died at Pemberton Manor Nursing Home in Greenwood on Saturday, December 27. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include one son, James Ray Herrin of Arp, Texas; three half-sisters - Mrs. Maggie Branch of Sallis, Mrs. Beatrice Evans, and Mrs. Nellie McGugan, both of Memphis; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were W.W. Holder, Pep Tidwell, Ted Batson, Billy Irby, John R. Ellison. and J.B. Herrin. Honorary pallbearer was Britt Herrin.
