Hiram Harrison Smith
Hiram Harrison (B.B.) Smith, lifelong resident of Lexington died 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 29 at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital in Greenwood following a lengthy illness. He was 45.
Mr. Smith was a native of Holmes County where he was born in Lexington on July 7, 1938.
Funeral services were held today (Thursday) at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home in Lexington. The Rev. Andy Ray was the officiating minister, assisted by the Rev. Jerry Bowman.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Valley Malone Smith of Lexington two brothers, Billy R. Smith of Carey, Ohio and Thomas Dale Smith of Yazoo City: and several nieces and nephews.
Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Southern in charge of arrangements.
Serving as active pallbearers were Johnny Eades, Billy Roy Baker, Larry Holder, Dorsey Cockrell, Mike Steen and Sam P. Brown.
