Charlene Edwards Holaday
Funeral services for Mrs. Charlene Edwards Holaday, 79, of Durant were held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 8 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Durant. Rev. Paul Williamson officiated. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. Holaday died Friday, July 6, 2001 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
A native of Cruger, she was the daughter of the late Homer D. and Sara Lou Wilkes Edwards. She was a homemaker, a graduate of Cruger Consolidated High School, and was a member of Louise Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jerry S. Eades of Cruger; a daughter, Betty Eades Hathcock of Durant; brothers, Homer D. Edwards of Ocala, Florida, and Fred Edwards of Greenwood; a sister Gladis King of Ft. Pierce, Florida; and four grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Bobby Ellis, Aaron Gantt, Roy Simms, Henry Gordon, Michael Stubbs, and Larry Leonberger.
