DAVID HERBERT HOPSON
Graveside services for David Herbert Hopson, 47, of Yazoo City were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6 in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Lexington, with Rev. Russ Carter officiating. Southern Funeral Home of Lexington was in charge of the service.
Mr. Hopson died Thursday, November 4, 1999 from complications of diabetes at his residence at 3204 Eden-Midway Road, Yazoo City.
A native of Holmes County, he was employed as an auto parts salesman with Motor Parts Company. He was a graduate of Benton High School and Holmes Junior College. He was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom
Survivors include his mother, Bernice Hopson of Yazoo City; brothers, Tim Hopson and Daniel Hopson, both of Yazoo City; sisters, Jackie Moore of Yazoo City and Julie Hamilton of Eupora.
Serving as pallbearers were George Nicholos, Bruce Davis, Jerry Chandler, Mart Chandler, David Harris, and Larry Moore.
